"Paradise Motel & RV Park" In Middletown, Rhode Island - Was Rated: 5
Location, Location, Location. This park is 1 mile from the beach and 3 miles from downtown. Not much to do at the park. We stayed over July 4th, and could bike to the Cliff Walk, the Mansions and downtown. Sites were small to say the least, I could not pull out my awning because it hit the slide out next to us. Not for big rigs, we are 30 ft and barely fit. Charged $ 5.00 per AC unit adn $5....

"RV Resort At Cannon Beach" In Cannon Beach, Oregon - Was Rated: 9
We just spent Thanksgiving weekend here. This is a well-kept park that has been an offseason favorite for many years. Some people will complain about the trees making it difficult for big rigs. Personally I like that they have filled in over the years giving the park a nice wooded feel. From October to April you get a coupon for 2 nights for the price of 1. We often go down in the fall and th...

"San Bernardino / Serrano Campground" In Big Bear Lake, California - Was Rated: 10
This was a great park. Will return again. Nicest people.....

"Cincinnati Good Sam" In Crittenden, Kentucky - Was Rated: 7
Clean park. Friendly staff. Host led us to site. Water had heat tape so we had water, temp was in upper 20's. Visited in late November over Thanksgiving. Would go back again.. in warmer weather. Easy access....

"Rayford Crossing RV Resort" In Spring, Texas - Was Rated: 10
We wanted full emenitities with proximity to shopping. We had it all. Weather was poor, but with great roads and pads there were no problems. Santa made a visit for kids and many other events were also visible. From professional check-in to spotless bathrooms, this was good, very good. We will stay here again....

"San Clemente State Park" In San Clemente, California - Was Rated: 8
We stayed in the Handicapped spot, which was pretty far from any view of the ocean. Next time we will camp in a regular spot closer to the (far away) view. Spots 1-26 look good. Spot 81 looks very good, but it is in the no hookups area. The tent camping spots are the best and all are very spacious. The hook up spots are lined up next to each other but are roomy. We really liked this area. J...

"Bull Run Regional Park" In Centreville, Virginia - Was Rated: 7
Nice campground, very close to DC and also Manassas Battlefield. 10 minutes to get to Camping World and other stores. Restrooms cleaned daily. Nice playground for children in camping area (other playground near front of the park where sport grounds are located). Noticed a lot of sites were not level, and electric/water/sewer hook-ups were placed in strange locations (sewer uphill from site, an...

"Williston Crossings RV Resort" In Williston, Florida - Was Rated: 10
Everything about this park is wonderful. The nicest restrooms and laundry facilities of any campground we've stayed at. The owners are friendly and showed us around the campground, and the expansion plan areas. It's called Williston Crossing because a train goes past the grounds once or twice a day (not during quiet times) and is more of an attraction than a nuisance. The park will also contin...

"The Barnyard RV Park" In Lexington, South Carolina - Was Rated: 9
Considering that this park is located in a city environment, this is a very nice park. Very close to Columbia. All sites are full hookups with 30/50 amp power. Pay Wi-Fi and free cable TV. Sites are level and have 30 foot separation between sites. Well maintained except for some badly warped picnic tables. A few long term folks, most with attractive appearance and no piles of junk. Concrete...

"Driftwood RV Park" In Brookings, Oregon - Was Rated: 9
Very nice park... 5 minute walk to harbor/beach. Management were the nicest people we've encountered at all the parks where we've stayed. Would stay here again!...

"Misty Mountain Camp Resort" In Crozet, Virginia - Was Rated: 7
We stayed in one of their cabins. Nice, except no heat in the bathroom, and the kitchen did not have a sink (as shown in the picture); so make sure you ask about that before reserving if that is important to you. We utilize this campground as a mid way point from WV to Virginia beach. Beautiful area: the mountains are amazing....

"Vail Lake Resort" In Temecula, California - Was Rated: 8
We stayed in the campground while attending a festival held at the campground pool/lake area. We stayed in "the oaks", which I thought was one of the best camping areas at campground (Chardonay mesa was the other). Most of the other areas are barren. We did have a fire ring, 50 amp service and a table at our site. It was cool and shady and huge. (#118) our 40' 5th wheel and truck would have f...

"Hershey Highmeadow Campground" In Hershey, Pennsylvania - Was Rated: 9
My family went stayed here so we could go to the Hershey Park "Candylane" Christmas-time celebration. The section of the campground that we were in was pretty much full, and as has been mentioned in previous reviews, the sites are kind close in. Due to the night-time temperatures, water was turned off nightly, but the campground staff gave plenty of warning so everyone could top off their tanks....

"Camp Richardson Resort" In South Lake Tahoe, California - Was Rated: 7
Camp Richardson is nice in that it provides easy walking access to the facilities at the site including a restaurant, bike rentals, beach bar, etc. Also, the salmon viewing facility is about a mile away and is worth the short walk. The campground is well kept. The only complaints is that the sites are dirt and expect to do a significant amount of leveling. The staff was friendly and helpful....

"Valley Of The Rogue State Park" In Medford, Oregon - Was Rated: 9
Very nice park with access to the Rogue River. Convenient to both Medford and Grants Pass. The restrooms and showers were immaculate and the park was very well kept. The only negative is that there is some freeway noise, but it is not bad in the evening when the traffic dies down. We would certainly recommend this park....

"Oak Hills Golf Club & RV Resort" In Sutherlin, Oregon - Was Rated: 9
Great park, super price! This is also a highly rated golf resort park. Even though I do not golf, I was told the course is excellent. Lots of pull thrus, and some with wonderful views. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your every question. I ended up to be a full timer, and stayed 3 months. I am going back, after my southern snowbird trip. This park has changed it's name to Umpqua ...

"Shadow Hills RV Resort" In Indio, California - Was Rated: 9
Very nice, very clean and neat park. Great staff! After a long drive from Bakersfield, they fixed me up with a pull thru. Although most spaces are back in, after I explained I was not great at backing up, and the sun was about to set into darkness, I was super pleased. My space was concrete, level, very long, and level, I did not have to unhook, big plus for me. I headed directly to the super ...

"Fayetteville / Wade KOA" In Wade, North Carolina - Was Rated: 10
We stayed here one night enroute to Myrtle Beach, SC. We chose one of their premium sites and were escorted there by the owner. Very pleasant gentleman and the ladies in the office were very friendly. The entrance to the campground is beautiful. Our premium site was first rate, long gravel pad with a large concrete patio which included wrought iron table and chairs and a chimenea. Privacy pan...

"Bluewater Key RV Resort" In Bluewater Key, Florida - Was Rated: 10
This park is absolutely beautiful. We had a pull in site facing the water which included a patio, dock and tiki hut with a wet bar. This is the largest site we have ever had. The tropical setting is really making it hard to go back home to the cold. The WiFi is free and worked great. Most of the people have been friendly. We have enjoyed our stay here. As they say, you should stay here at l...

"Sunset Bay State Park" In Coos Bay, Oregon - Was Rated: 8
We had a great time at Sunset Bay. Our kids had a wonderful time collecting shells and exploring the tide pools which are just a short walk from the campground. If you stay between Thanksgiving and New Years, be sure to see the lights at nearby Sunset Bay Botanical Gardens. The display is absolutely amazing and the admission is free with your paid camp site. The campground is heavily wooded so...

"Turkey Creek RV Village" In Branson, Missouri - Was Rated: 2
We are Escapee members and at the price, our 5 nights were almost tolerable. We were literally crammed into our spot. Being stuffed alongside of the manager and one of the helpers, we could not put out our awnings, nor even park our truck in our spot alongside our 5th wheel (as they allowed friends/relatives that option). Perhaps if we had a spot that afforded more room (and there were many!), ...

"A.H. Stephens Historic Park" In Crawfordville, Georgia - Was Rated: 9
We celebrated Thanksgiving with my family, and we loved this park!!! The sites were flat, level, and large. The bath house was kept clean and neat, and the volunteer hosts were some of the friendliest we have come across. The kids could ride bikes around the paved loop, and the trails were very accessible. We will definitely be visiting this park often....

"Coushatta Casino Resort / Red Shoes RV Resort" In Kinder, Louisiana - Was Rated: 8
I wasn't going to re-review this park on this second visit of the year, but I do want to comment on two things. I upgraded my rating back to an 8 since they appear to have corrected the WIFI problem and we were able to get it 4 of the 5 days there at our site (last visit was 0 for 5). Additionally, there is a review for November (posted before this one) that states that there is nothing here for...

"Pioneer River Resort/Bandera" In Bandera, Texas - Was Rated: 8
In spite of the other 2006 rating, I took a chance on this park because it had wireless. Had no problems, easy to get in and out. Paid $132 for the week + $16 electricity. Very clean restrooms. Has a pool, but didn't check it out. Very close to downtown Bandera, but off the highway (no noise). Has several spaces with view of the Medina River. Office is sparse for supplies and food, but town...

"Allegro Campground" In Red Bay, Alabama - Was Rated: 8
This is the Tiffin Motorhomes factory campground. It is an old airport runway with full 50/30/20amp hookups. Camping is free if your are in for warranty service at the service center, otherwise $10 per night. The customer lounge is large with a kitchenette and restrooms and seating for 20+ people. Many people just stop by when passing through to take the week day plant tours. The parts store ...

"Baileyton RV Park" In Baileyton, Tennessee - Was Rated: 9
Very nice park, nice management, well maintained, sites a little narrow, would stay again....

"Mission Farm RV Park" In San Juan Bautista, California - Was Rated: 7
Rate for 24 foot RV and one pet. Park charges $3 more for longer RVs and $2 for each pet. Not sure if phone connections at site work anymore as they were covered with cobwebs and dirt. WIFI works better near the office as signal fairly weak from campsite. Our large site surrounded by fairly tall fir trees....

"Napa Valley Fairgrounds" In Calistoga, California - Was Rated: 5
When we arrived in the afternoon no one was in the office for registration. The office sign said someone would come around, or you could pay at the house in front of the campground, or pay at the fairgrounds office. Big warning about not paying, so I looked around to see who to pay. Finally someone showed up at the office the following morning when we were ready to depart. The old water and el...

"Thousand Trails / Lake Tawakoni" In Point, Texas - Was Rated: 8
This was a return trip for us. There are some sites that are open for satellite access, and all sites are big enough for any size rig. It's about 20 miles to a real grocery store, which can be a drawback, but we've experienced worse. This is dependable and predictable, we'll be back....

"Autumn Woods RV Park" In Rochester, Minnesota - Was Rated: 7
Modern park with good facilities (FHU, cable, WIFI) and decent sites. Probably too close to the highway for those of you who cannot handle traffic noise. Less than half full during our after Labor Day stay, but I can't see it being crowded with anything but Mayo related customers and overnighters. There is no pool or anything for kids and the road it is on has lots of small business operations ...
